Monster Ski offers skiers & riders the opportunity to ski some of the world's best runs, challenging them to ski the height of Mount Everest every day for five days, whilst raising valuable funds to help people affected by multiple sclerosis (MS).
This is the third Monster Ski challenge run by the MS Trust, previous events in Colorado and Engelberg have raised over £220,000 to support the charity's work.
The money raised helps provide information, education and research to support the 100,000 people living with MS in the UK today.

Bookings are now being taken for Monster Ski, which will take place from 14 to 22 April 2010.

It costs just £195 to register and each participant will be required to raise a minimum of £3,000 in sponsorship for the MS Trust.
For more information about this exhilarating challenge, please contact Laura Percival at the MS Trust on 01462 476707 or download an information pack from: www.mstrust.org.uk/monsterski

Monster Skiers on track to raise £60,000 for Multiple Sclerosis Trust

A group of 16 skiers and boarders have completed a 'marathon-a-day' ski challenge in the Swiss resort of Engelberg, in aid of the Multiple Sclerosis Trust.

The group skied hundreds of miles over the three day challenge, all to raise awareness and funds for multiple sclerosis (MS). The event was the brainchild of former RAF pilot Mike Laver, who was diagnosed with MS in 2005. Mike was one of four people with MS who took part.

Mike said, 'Some of the Monster Skiers achieved some unbelievable totals - a stunning success for all. Special mention must go to all those participants with MS who, in taking part, have shown to themselves and to others that MS need not prevent you doing anything you set your mind to'.

The Multiple Sclerosis Trust has been delighted by Monster Ski's success and has already received over £30,000 in sponsorship. This total looks set to double once all sponsorship pledges have been collected. The money raised will provide information, education and research to help people living with MS in the UK today.

The Monster Ski challenge wouldn't have been possible without the support of Prime Ski School in Engelberg, as well as Satski and HTC who provided GPS tracking technology to monitor participants performance.

Thoughts are now turning to 2010, when the MS Trust plans to run its third Monster Ski event. To be kept informed about future trips, or to make a donation towards this Monster Ski, please contact Laura Percival on 01462 476707 or email fundraising@mstrust.org.uk.
